The City of Colorado Springs issued a noise hardship permit May 5 for Ford Amphitheater’s 2026 concert season, allowing events at the Polaris Pointe venue to exceed standard city decibel limits within that defined area.
Outside of Polaris Pointe, city and state noise standards remain in effect.
In January 2025, the City entered into a mitigation and monitoring agreement with VENU Arts & Culture Foundation outlining additional sound reduction measures and expanded oversight. All mitigation efforts under that agreement have since been completed, including sound walls, sound system reconfiguration, enhanced monitoring and enforcement protocols tied to sound levels.

Data from prior concert seasons shows sound levels generally operating within established criteria, with a limited number of exceedances occurring within isolated five-minute intervals that were addressed in real time. No penalties were triggered under the terms of the City’s agreement with VENU.

The city will continue to review sound data from each concert season, including third-party analysis, operator-provided reporting and community concerns.
Ford Amphitheater and the VENU Arts & Culture Foundation stated that the venue has always operated in compliance with Colorado law and has invested millions of dollars in noise abatement in response to community feedback. Ongoing monitoring will continue, including follow-up investigations of any reported noise issues.
