Every Friday night at Provision Bread and Bakery, the Third Wave Chocolate Company is taking the stage with a slate of delicious desserts. Their newest offering is the s’more: a big square honey marshmallow made in-house, resting on top of their Puerto Rican chocolate ganache, and held together with a homemade graham cracker. The marshmallows are torched to order for each customer, ensuring a crackly, golden brown exterior and gooey vanilla interior. You can find the s’more from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays at 4 S Wahsatch, or at the OCC Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and in Acacia Park on Sundays.
Enjoy a taste of southern comfort at Odyssey Gastropub with their Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles. A longtime star on the menu, the classic dish combines the sweet excitement of breakfast with indulgent buttermilk fried chicken. The waffle, fluffy and crispy on the outside, has a rich texture from the addition of cornmeal. A strip of bacon is cooked right into the batter, adding a savory streak in the middle of the plate.

At Tacos El Amigo on East Boulder Street, you can find some of the best Mexican food in the Springs. Their standout dish is the quesabirria tacos: a fusion between a taco and a quesadilla that’s filled with meat, melted cheese, and dipped into a broth that’s made from the rich drippings of the meat. The crispy corn tortillas are pan fried and folded around beef that’s been cooking for hours. It’s a dish that has benefitted from time and care, and it shows. The kitchen serves each dish with a side of delicious grilled onions and jalapeños, which add a nice contrast of spice and acidity, cutting through the fatty interior of the tacos. Tacos El Amigo is open every day from 8 a.m. to midnight.
